Worthy Engineering is a mining services repairer, operating a team of 70 employees from large workshop facilities in Kalgoorlie and Perth. We’re looking for an experienced and motivated Workshop Supervisor to join our dynamic team in our West-Kalgoorlie workshop!  In this key role, you will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations in the workshop, ensuring the smooth and efficient running of tasks while maintaining high standards of safety and quality. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Directly supervise and mentor the workplace with a focus on the Field Service, Light Vehicle and Component divisions.
• Continually monitor safe work practices and promote structured and visible actions.
• Receive and manage internal workload priorities with allocated work force.
• Co-ordinate and communicate workplace priorities regarding workflow and customer agreements to the trade lead.
• Facilitate the variation process when scope outside of approved work is identified.
• Spot check job quality and progress by the tradespeople and mentor if any deviation from company expectations.
• Provide ongoing updates to the Branch Manager and/or Internal customer line in suitable time frames.
• Perform pre delivery inspections of equipment both pre completion and post completion to ensure quality outcomes are obtained/met.
• Mentor and assist apprentices and tradespeople in the workplace.

The successful applicant must have:

• A relevant Australian Trade Certificate
• A Valid Australian Drivers Licence (HR Licence desirable)
• Proven experience in a supervisory role within a workshop or similar environment.
• Strong understanding of workshop operations and safety protocols.
• Excellent time management and job recording skills with the ability to work well under pressure to determine and communicate priorities.
• High level communication skills (verbal and written) with the ability to liaise with both internal and external parties.
• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
• The ability to pass a pre-employment medical and provide a satisfactory National Police Clearance.
